The season's fifth -- and next to last -- big contest has begun and
runs through Monday. Login at
http://contest.usaco.org
All competitions are three contiguous hours. The contest is open
to all competitors (pre-university, university, or post-university).
Read the rules at the contest site if you've never read them.
Preliminary results should be available Tuesday; final results will
probably be available on Thursday at
http://ace.delos.com/
First-timers should consider doing the 'test' program from the USACO
training pages at http://train.usaco.org (to reinforce I/O skills)
before trying the real contest (really -- this is not an idle
suggestion).
GOLD Competitors:
Three problems are presented for solution within three hours.
Regular scoring techniques.
SILVER and BRONZE Competitors:
Three or four problems are presented for solution within three
hours. If you do the contest before Sunday, believe you made
a perfect score, and wish to move immediately to the next
division up, email me.
This is the fifth of six contests this year that count towards the
USACO season champion and invitations to the USA Invitational
Computing Olympiad.
